Every student, faculty, and staff at NJIT is issued a UCID. The UCID provides access to most NJIT computing services (e.g. Highlander Pipeline Campus Portal, WebMail by Google, Banner Student, Banner Faculty).
Why do I need to claim my UCID?
New students, faculty, and staff need to Claim Your UCID in order to setup your MyUCID profile. Setting up your profile includes adding alternate contact information that can be used to reset your password in case you forget your password. This is a one-time process.
What services does MyUCID manage?
Your UCID provides access to all NJIT applications that use single sign-on (e.g. Banner, Canvas, Highlander Pipeline, Webmail, Kaltura Mediaspace), and NJITDM (faculty and staff).
What happens if I forget my password?
You can reset your UCID password using a security code that is sent to your alternate contact information (mobile device or email address).
Why am I being asked for a recovery email and phone number?
If you forget your password, a recovery code can be sent via email or text message to your alternate contact information. Be sure to use a non-NJIT email address and/or a phone number that can receive text messages.
